The Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating Sheeting Cut & Sew operations.
Must be able to bring innovative ideas to the position and assist with continuous process improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Ability to effectively to supervise associates to ensure job performance by using proper policies and procedures.
Provide clear instructions, accurate information, support, planning, and encouragement to direct reports.
Maintain a high level of morale and control absenteeism/turnover on shift.
Write performance appraisals for associates in the department.
Create accountability by providing clear expectations to the associates, as well as training, development, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
Maintain an adequate workforce.
Complete requisitions for replacements and interview applicants.
Work closely with HR in order to properly onboard all new associates.
Work closely with the maintenance team in order to properly maintain machines in the department, gain a clear understanding of their capabilities, learn the manufacturer's recommended settings, etc.
Perform daily, visual inspection of machinery to ensure top quality products are manufactured in the most efficient manner possible.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding standards of quality, cost, production, efficiency and waste control.
Must use lean concepts and root cause analysis to continuously improve processes and proceduresMust assist in developing/maintaining training programs that assure the best utilization of available resources.
All other duties as assignedQualifications include:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a management or textile related field3
